Abeokuta City Centre

Abeokuta City Centre redevelopment was borne out of the state governor’s desire to redefine the city centre of the state capital with new dreams aimed at presenting a catalyst for recovery and regeneration of the old city.

A consortium of 7 architectural firms was put together by the governor to birth this dream, and an architectural master plan was produced. The highlights include quick win projects that can be embarked on immediately to effect visual transformation of the city, and long-range developments that will enhance the culture and impact on the social growth of the city.

OAC Architects’ contribution was the development of a transport hub and retail centre.
