Spurred by the success of the Bluestripe project on Ahmed Onibudo, the client was eager to enter into a collaboration to develop a second multistorey office building, located on a 2,300sqm plot on Adetokunbo Ademola Street. Being on a high street, the building was conceived to add some flavour to the emerging ambiance of the area in terms of aesthetics and look-and-feel. It was designed as a glass box, but with a façade clad with geometrically shaped Titanium Dioxide panels.
This, apart from keeping the U-values low thereby reducing the cooling load within the building, also neutralises certain pollutants in the air, purifying the atmosphere around the building. These together with other measures and components employed in the proposal are designed to enhance a good sustainability rating for the building. The project is in the Detailed Design stage, and it is hoped that it will be on site by Q1 of 2019
