T’lleri Boutique Hotel, Onireke Ibadan

Hospitality and Retail

An 8-room luxurious boutique hotel in Onireke, Ibadan very unique and in a class of its own. The building fabric consists of traditional building materials like mud walls, stone cladding and earthy colors, all adding to a naturally cool interior on a normal sunny day. The building is deliberately planted into the uniquely crafted landscape with the high topography starting from the property line and sloping towards the building.

The Design

It was designed as a glass box, but with a façade clad with geometrically shaped Titanium Dioxide panels. This, apart from keeping the U-values low thereby reducing the cooling load within the building, also neutralizes certain pollutants in the air, purifying the atmosphere around the building.

This, apart from keeping the U-values low thereby reducing the cooling load within the building, also neutralizes certain pollutants in the air, purifying the atmosphere around the building.

These together with other measures and components employed in the proposal are designed to enhance a good sustainability rating for the building. The project is in the Detailed Design stage, and it is hoped that it will be on site by Q1 of 2019.
